I'm aware that several people here have a problem with me, or more likely my very obvious self confidence and straightforward attitude. After all, would you rather I was submissive and constantly told you what you wanted to hear, rather than the truth.

I didn't come here to fight with anyone but you only have to look at the reception I recieved to realise that there is a nasty control freak element on this site, and as for those who called themselves my "friends" {inverted commas}they wouldn't know friendship if it jumped up and slapped them.

The purpose of this is not to seek attention. I'm a Goth! do you think I'm short of attention? No the purpose was to do something about the disgusting and insulting way I'm treated here..and I challenge anyone to say that it's not happening.

I can say that, yes, I have seen the way some respond to your comments, but on the otherhand, I can't say whether or not it was said for a reason. Personally, I don't know you to say whether or not I have a problem with you, but there may be other people on here who know you better. Like you said, you do come across as straightforward, and you do seem to have very strong opinions. I guess there's just some people who don't like people who are like that, or maybe they just don't like the extreme bluntness of it. Who knows. Then again, not everyone on here, or any other site, is going to like everyone they encounter. It's the same way in real life, away from the computer. There will always be those who do and don't like you. That's just the way it goes.

I'm new on this site and so I haven't noticed anybody being insulting toward you. But if you don't like the way you're being treated, if you care so much about the way you're treated on this site, then maybe it's time you realized that this mistreatment is happening for a reason and that you ought to change the way you communicate with people. And I only say this if you truly care about the way you're treated here. No I would never advise you to be dishonest just to please others--you've got an opinion and you should just express it. But if you find that you're constantly encountering negative responses, then maybe the problem is in how you communicate. Perhaps this means that you should change the way you express yourself. You say you come across as blunt, and so maybe that's your problem, maybe you need to express yourself differently. I'm not saying you need to be dishonest or to change your opinions, but just be more careful when choosing your words. You need to remember too that everyone is a unique individual and so we're all bound to clash with other personalities. That's why we have arguments, debates or whatever you want to call the discussions that take place on this site. And so through arguments, debates, etc, is how I think we learn from each other. And we don't learn only about the topics we're discussing, but we also learn about ourselves and about the environment around us. In this world of differing opinions, you need to be open-minded and remember that you're not always going to be right. That's all I have to say about this. Thank you!

That's fair. I was taught to speak up for myself
But your right, sometimes it's a little too blatant.

Raskolnikov lting it's more insidious than insulting.
It's a form of isolation and game playing with my feelings particularly at times of real vulnerability.

I have tried to curtail my bluntness but sometimes, on here, it's the only thing that cuts through the crap.
